many interesting projects going on!). We were engaged in conversation with Eyal Halamish, OurSay CEO! He told us about the organisation and I think we were all really impressed with the ideas and vision of OurSay.org

Our Say is an independent organisation that has the goal to promote and reignite active participation in Australian Democracy by utilising social media. How it works is that anyone can ask a question and direct this question to one of Australia’s leaders. You choose an appropriate forum, ask your question and then get as many votes as possible for your question! The top three questions will be answered by the forum leader!

APERTURE Festival was really inspired by this and decided  to ask our very own question. We decided to ask our question to Senator Bob Carr and currently are in 4th PLACE! Seeing as how the APERTURE Festival is an ethnographic documentary festival, our festival Director, Erminia Colucci asked the question regarding using democracythe arts to strengthen cross cultural ties with the Asia Pacific region. Click here to view (and to vote for) our full question to Senator Bob Carr!

We are so grateful for all the votes up until now and can’t believe how well we are doing for our first question. Please help us vote for our question and get us into the top three! Each person has 7 votes to give! The Deadline is July 17th so if you care about the arts and how we can involve the arts more to strengthen cross cultural ties please vote for our question and let’s see what Bob Carr has to say!

POST UPDATE: Thank you all for your votes! Our question made it in the Top 3! Watch 6 min clip of Bob Carr’s response to our question here: https://vimeo.com/73073981
